Catania is a city with a coast that offers variety, from long sandy beaches to rocky stretches of volcanic origin
Catania enjoys a close connection with the sea, visible even from the city centre. The Playa is its most famous beach, a vast stretch of golden sand that also passes through the central area, with full facilities and a breathtaking view of Mount Etna. Near the city, there are also areas such as San Giovanni Li Cuti, characterised by lava rocks and a wilder atmosphere, and Aci Trezza with its iconic sea stacks.
